PVVAC Headquarters to Serve as Town "Warming Station" If Needed

Everyone knows that some significant and potentially dangerous weather is heading our way tomorrow. We know there will be snow, ice, high-winds, and a good chance of power-outages.

During the worst of the storm, it's likely that the safest action is to hunker down and stay home, stay off the roads, and wait for the weather to do its thing, and for our great Town Highway Department to do their thing in clearing the roads.

But after that, if many don't have power or heat, at the call of the Town Supervisor the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be open to the public as the Town's official "Warming Station." Drop by, get warm, get dry, charge your phone, use the restroom, and chat with some of your neighbors. We're in this together!

The Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps is located at 218 Oscawana Lake Rd. (in between Church Rd. and the Elementary School). The "Warming Station" entry is in the rear of the building. If internet access exists, we'll do our best to confirm when the Supervisor has opened the "Warming Station" via the PVVAC Facebook page and website: www.PVVAC.org.
